Silent Hill Collection Update

This is what my Silent Hill collection looks like now. Plus two smaller items, one for my cellphone and one for my keychain. The very first Silent Hill game will also be mine in a few days, when the auction for it ends. Once I have that, I only need two games to complete the game collection. I think I need more comic books next. And some statues. But they're so expensive! Ah, well. I guess I'll get them eventually.

And once again, I know I'm ignoring this blog completely, and I think I will continue to ignore it. This new design does nothing for me. Maybe I'll switch to Wordpress or something.

Silent Hill

This blog is ignored.
I am so sorry about that.

Anyway, after getting my nerves together I am finally in the progress of playing Silent Hill. I have been a huge fan for years, but never really dared to play the actual games... But now I have started. Homecoming is first up. Yes, I know it's probably one of the less scarier ones, but I'm loving it so far. And I decided to start collecting. I'll collect everything and anything. So far, my collection looks more or less like this;

2 new piercings, 1 new game

And I hereby promise that the rest of my money will be spent on Christmas gifts to others, not myself. I swear!

My two new piercings are the two on the top of my ear, btw. I've been wanting to do it for years, but never gotten around to do it. Now I did. Yay, me!
(Please ignore the rest of me. I just got inside from the wet and cold outdoors, and I didn't bother with fixing up for one lousy photo of my new piercings. So yeah... Look at the piercings! Ignore the rest.)

New game; Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Been wanting it ever since it got out, but once again... I never got around to buy it. Last Christmas gift for myself, I swear! Now I'll just wish for Halo: CE Anniversary and The Old Republic for Christmas.
Oh, boyfriend ~ <3

And that was today's update.
Now I'll be eating some food and watching a couple more episode of Prison Break.
I love that show. Pure genius.

Signing out!

MW3 Campaign on Veteran

Motherf***!!

Nevermind.

I started the MW3 Campaign on Veteran difficulty yesterday. I always run through it on Regular first, just to check it out, and then try to die my way through the Veteran difficulty. Yes, die. Because I'm usually very good at dying.

But it's kind of fun playing through Veteran now, because I realize that I've become so much better! MW2 was my first FPS game ever, so that one on Veteran... Well, I did die my way through it. So much cursing, so much time being pissed off. Good times.

And now, as I'm currently working my way through MW3's Campaign on Veteran, I'm not dying my way through it. Instead of reaching a checkpoint, die five times, reach the next checkpoint, die another five times, and so on... I'm actually playing the game, not just dying.

Lol, this was so random. But it's fun. I started playing Xbox 360 two years ago, and I haven't been playing FPS for two years yet, but yet I can feel that I've become better. Hell, I can even kick my fiance's a** in Call of Duty now, and he's been playing these games for 10 years or so.

There are moments where I still die my way through the game, though. When I'm stationary. When I had to get on the f***ing mortar and hit the targets on the ground. When I had to be the gunner on the tank. And now, as I'm sitting in the back of a blue van, being chased by foot patrols, driving vehicles and hinds. I'm not able to move at all, except from shooting and reloading my weapon. And I die. And die. And die. And die.

It's frustrating!
But I'm not giving up.
Might have to take a break now, though...

Out!

3 new games

... and I'm in heaven.
I've only played one of them so far, but I'll try the second one tomorrow.
The PS2 game will have to wait until I get the proper cables and the proper TV....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Hardened Edition
for Xbox 360.
Includes one year's membership on Call of Duty Elite with Founder status, a Juggernaut outfit for my Xbox Live avatar, collectable box and steelbox for the game disc and Cpt. John 'Soap' MacTavish's field journal.
Good stuff <3

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Collector's Edition
for Xbox 360.
Includes a 'Behind the Scenes' DVD, a map of Skyrim, artbook and a statue of the dragon Alduin. The dragon is beautiful and much bigger than I anticipated, and absolutely worth the money. If you're a huge fan and a collector of geek items, that is.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
for Playstation 2.

Peace!

The mail that made my day!

I would post the mail here, but since it's in Norwegian, I doubt you'd understand it anyhow.

Anyway, to sum it up the mail was from an online store where I buy my games and DVDs and CDs and all of that stuff. So guess what the mail was about?

That's right.
They sent my copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Hardened Edition today.
I didn't think they'd send it until tomorrow.
But they sent it today.
They sent it today!
Which means I might get it tomorrow!!

*megaultrahyperfangirlsqueal*

Excited for this game? Me? Nooo, what makes you think that?
Seriously, though... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Oh, also, my fiance works at this gaming store. And he made sure that they ordered in one Collector's Edition of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and he'll hold it for me. Because I've made very clear that I want exactly that version of the game. Just to get the dragon statue.

The Vet and The n00b

Yeah, I suck at blogging. I've been around a lot lately, so I haven't bothered to find time for the blog. Oh well. I'll try to blog a bit these next couple of days, because you won't see me for a while after the 8th.

Why not?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, of course!

Only three days left!
OMFG!
*addpsychofangirlsquealhere*

Aaand yeah... I love that they have Sam Worthington in that trailer, btw. I just love that guy. And his voice. He's awesome as Mason in Black Ops. Kind of cool, though... I just got home from the store where I bought a new DVD. Clash of the Titans. With Sam Worthington. Coincidence?

Anyway, now I'm going to enjoy a slice of home made pizza, salty chips, Cola Zero, the new episode of Supernatural and maybe I'll watch Clash of the Titans too. Sam Worthington AND Liam Neeson ftw <3

Spending money...

... that I don't really have. Seriously, I have to get better with the money. I have bills that I should pay, I have parts for my Boba Fett/Custom Mando that I should pay and still I'm ordering things online...

Well. My last order isn't coming out until November, so at least I'll have some time to save money for that one. You see, I just pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition. I just had to. With it, I get a full year's membership on Call of Duty Elite, Founder status on Elite (which gives me all kinds of special stuff on multiplayer) and a bunch of other cool things. I can't help it. I am so psyched for this game, I think I'm going to die before it comes out. I watched the singleplayer trailer some days ago, and I was in heaven. But there are still two things I haven't gotten an answer to yet. About the campaign. I want to know now. I can't wait for the game. Damnit.

So if anyone would be interested in buying the regular version of Modern Warfare 3, let me know. Because I pre-ordered that some months ago from the store my fiancé works. And I got a free t-shirt when I did it.

Oh, money. I wish I had them. Or at least knew how to spend them more wisely.

Gears of War 3

The first time I tried Gears of War, was a few months after I started playing Xbox 360. I played Gears of War 2, and it was difficult as f***, so I gave up. Did a few Hordes every now and then with my fiancé, though.

Now, I've been playing X360 for about two years (2 years in December, to be exact), and I am starting to get good at it. So with my fiancé's obsession over Gears of War 3, naturally I had to try it out too. Yesterday, the day it came out. While he was at work. Probably the dumbest thing I have ever done, because I finished the campaign yesterday as well. On the easiest difficulty, mind you. Sweet Jesus, I am not looking forward to completing it on the hardest.

But seriously. The game kicks a**. I've read a few reviews on the game, and most of them seems to think that the characters have too many stupid comments throughout the game. Personally, I love those comments. In the middle of a heated battle against the Lambent, when I heard Dom cry out "You destroyed my tomatoes!" then kill the thing... I laughed. Hard. Or Marcus' "You came between Dom and his crops, colonel - this better be good." Yes, their lines are as dry as ever, but they're supposed to be just that. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been Gears of War.

The second part that makes the game so good, is the soundtrack. I can't help it. Steve Jablonsky nails the music, and makes the game as epic as it can get.

The third part....
SPOILER ALERT!

F*** yeah, Carmine!! My vote counted for something!

So yeah, to sum it up...
The story is okay - it's an action game, so not much is expected. But action you get - and it's awesome. The characters are cool. The graphics are amazing. The music is fantastic! And my favourite part of it all - Beast Mode and I get to play female characters! Queen Myrrah ftw!

I'm a Gears of War fan now. Since yesterday, I have gotten 26 achievements on this game. More than half. So I've updated my Achievement Progress page and the My Videogames page. I have both the two first games. Guess what I'll be playing until Modern Warfare 3 is released?

Modern Warfare 2 - Complete!

I'm a gamer, and my favourite game must be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Simply because it was the first FPS I ever tried, and the reason I play FPS today.

The title does lie a little, though. What I mean is that I have finally reached 100% on this game. When the news of Modern Warfare 3 was revealed, my goal was to complete MW2 before the release of MW3. And now I have. 50 out of 50 Achievements, and 1000 out of 1000 Gamerscore. F*** yeah!

But I still haven't completed the game. I'm only on 5th prestige out of 10 on the multiplayer, so I do have some more hours ahead. And to think of all the titles and emblems I have to earn as well, I'm looking at a lot more hours. Not only a few. But that's good!

I'm only missing 5 Achievements on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as well. But despite me trying, I don't think I'll be able to complete those before MW3. COD4 is insane on Veteran difficulty! Or am I the only one thinking that?

Oh, well. It wouldn't be fun if it was too easy either.

MW3 Multiplayer

Yes, I am one of those COD-geeks who just can't wait for the next COD game! And in this case, I'm even more psyched, as Modern Warfare 2 is my favourite FPS overall. And this is the sequel. Naturally, I'm very psyched.

A few hours ago, there was a "leak" on the Multiplayer part of the game. A new game mode, called Kill Confirmed, which introduces enemy dog tags that you will have to collect - and thus preventing the all time favourite camping trip. Personally, I think it's a good idea. I really liked that part in Crysis 2, so it will be interesting to see how they've managed to work it out in COD. The team with the most dog tags at the end of the match wins? That'd be my guess.

Read more about this leak here.

And now, a few hours after this leak, we get the Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer World Premiere trailer. And I have to say, I don't think this game will disappoint me at all. There are a few things I hope for in the game, which has to do with the campaign, characters, voice actors and all of that, but I guess those things will be revealed as I play the game. Unless there are more leaks in the coming month. But this Multiplayer trailer is more or less epic. It shows us a whole lot of things, my favourite being the part where we see that Snipers counts as secondary weapons (plus the sniper shown is Dragunov - finally!).

Which means I can have my M4 and a Dragunov in the same class.
Assault and Sniper.
In the same class.

I'm so psyched!
